| School holiday campervan hire is a busy time in Australia but it can be fun and affordable. There are normally two school holiday campervan camps - those who can only hire a campervan during school holidays because of the kids, or those who want to avoid school holidays altogether! We have put together a guide for the school holiday dates in 2011 and into 2012. School holiday dates can vary between States and Territories and public (government) schools versus private schools, but these dates will give you a good guide as to when the school holiday periods apply. |

| So based on these dates, you can either choose to holiday during these items or plan your vacation outside the school holiday dates. If you are planning on travelling during school holiday time, some of the larger caravan parks offer school holiday programs to entertain the kids. - Most rental companies offer Early Bird Discounts if you book at least 120 days in advance.
- Campervan hire rates are also subject to change each week, based on supply and demand. So as the campervans start to book out for the school holidays, the prices will increase.
- The larger campervans will book out during the school holidays, especially the 4 Berth and 6 Berth motorhomes. A lot of families travel at this time of the year so the bigger motorhomes are a popular choice.
- The earler you book, the more choice you will have when it comes to the range of campervans and motorhomes.
- Consider where you may want to travel or stay. Caravan parks and campgrounds are also very busy around school holidays, particularly those close to water. So if you want to pull up next to a beach, river or lake, you will need to book in advance.
