Sleeper Cabin (Single or Twin)
Choose from an elegant twin or single sleeper cabin. Gold Twin Cabins have a comfortable three seater lounge which converts to upper and lower sleeping berths at night plus a private ensuite bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower. Cabins are fully serviced by your own steward with fresh sheets, pillows and doonas. Cabins feature 3 pin 240 volt power points, wardrobes, full length mirror, reading lamps and foldaway table.
Single Cabins have similar features to the Twin Cabin with the exception of shower and toilet facilities which are located at the end of each carriage. Complimentary toiletry bags and an onboard magazine are provided in all Gold Service cabins.
Deluxe/Superior Sleeper Cabin (Twin plus fold-down single)
Ideal for guests seeking a little extra space and comfort. The Deluxe Cabin is twice the size of a normal Gold Twin Cabin and features a small double bed plus additional fold down single bed. Extra features include a private lounge area with table, arm chairs, a dvd player plus a selection of titles, toiletries, complimentary chocolates, fruit bowl, plunger coffee, a bar-fridge stocked with complimentary refreshments, reserved seating at dinner or optional room service for meals and a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner.
There is only one Deluxe Cabin on every Indian Pacific journey so advance bookings are essential. A nightly surcharge applies for hire of the Deluxe Cabin.
Due to cabin space constraints, it is recommended guests take an 'overnight bag' containing all requirements for their journey with them in their cabin and check-in all other luggage. Guests are permitted to check-in a maximum 40kg luggage free of charge (2 items not exceeding 20kg each).
Note: Checked-in luggage cannot be accessed during the journey.
Gold Service guests aboard the Indian Pacific dine in the elegant Restaurant Car. All meals are included in the Gold Service fare. The enjoyment of fine food and wine combined with views across this vast, beautiful continent is an unrivalled experience.
Sample selections from our superb menus served to your table. The menus will feature a blend of Australian and International cuisine, cooked to perfection by our own on-board chefs. Quality wines and beverages are available for purchase. Vegetarian, children's and some special dietary meals can be accommodated - please request these when you make your booking.
Note: breakfast packs will be delivered to cabins on some services to cater for early morning destination arrivals and off-train tour requirements. Smoking is not permitted anywhere aboard the train.
The Gold Lounge is often the centre of activity for any journey. The cosy, club-like setting is an excellent place to socialise or sit back and enjoy the passing parade of Australian landscapes. The Lounge has a licensed bar and is the ideal place to gather for a drink before dinner or for a game of cards and a nightcap with new friends.
